Prakash Boys Institute opened its doors at
its present location in 1977.
The Institute’s vocational training
program is officially designated as the Prakash Industrial
Training Centre (ITC) by the government of India.
- Prakash ITC is affiliated with the
Director General of Technical Education (DGET) in
New Delhi, which gives students a greater opportunity for employment.
- Prakash ITC is nationally certified to provide instruction
in Welding and
Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
- Prakash ITC’s Computer Operation
and Electrician courses and
certification are acknowledged by the state government.of
Maharashtra.
The Institute partners with local Church plants to operate
an off-site Veterinary Medicine course.
Prakash
Boys Institute’s main building houses two dormitory
wings, a dining room and kitchen facilities, offices, lecture
and study halls, a recreation room, and Heritage Hall, which
serves as an auditorium/chapel and seats more than 200.
The Technical Training Centre has four large classrooms
used for classes and hands-on training. Other facilities
include a basketball court, cricket field, volleyball court,
staff housing, garages, and gardens.
All buildings are equipped with running water, electricity,
verandas and roof decks.
The current capacity of Prakash Boys Institute is 112 young
men.
